Scotland- Glasgow-Day 2

Got a little busy so here is Scotland, Cont'd

We had a rough plan of what we wanted to see while in Scotland but we had to be flexible because of the awesome weather! Day 2 brought torrential rain so we opted to visit the most magnificent Science Center I have ever been to. It was located in Glasgow which was about a 50 minute car ride away. It was a perfect way to spend a rainy day.

Bella was waiting patiently to "get going".

The Science Center has 5 floors of hands-on activities.
How fast can you slap the lights?
Optical illusions
More optical illusions- she was supposed to look like she was handing from a skyscraper.
There was a nautical themed play area.

Life size piano.  I just love these.  I wish I had one in my house......not for Bella but for me.
Half of one floor was dedicated to inventions.  Kids could sit down and sketch an invention.  They then would roll it up and stick it in the slot here for the scientists to actual see.

Then, there were tons of materials to make your "invention".
You could deconstruct things here to help you see how they were made.  This was aimed to help you with your own invention.
Here you had to try to build things that would withstand an earthquake.
Pinball with common household objects.
Bella spent the most time at this activity.  You just put the ball in the hole of that bird thing and watch it roll out onto the surface that was spinning.  It would fall into another hole.
Nana and Bella in front of an Alice in Wonderland mural.
Mommy and her little scientist.
