Christmas in Tucson

We truly look forward to our yearly trip to Arizona for Christmas. It is always lovely and this year was no different.

Aunty Sissy introduced Bella to Pixie Stix........just what you give to a sugar addict.
My mom lives in a retirement area and all of her friends had gifts for Bella this year. She made cookies and delivered them to the friends and collected so many thoughtful gifts.  This was a cool color-yourself decoration. Aunty Sissy and her spent some quality time coloring it.
Posing in front of the tree.
Aunty Sissy gave her her annual Christmas PJ's on Christmas eve.
Just being herself...............she's loved to laugh and joke since the day she was born.
She brought all of the pillows and blankets over and decided she was having a camping trip.  The girl's imagination is out of this world.  (no pun intended)
Bella put out milk and cookies and Santa came!
The walk to see if he came. P.S.  She's holding her latest love--Sammy the camel.

He came!
The ONLY thing Bella asked for from Santa was a pair of Princess glasses.  Little did Santa know that THEY'D BE HARD TO FIND....I mean MAKE in his workshop.

So, perhaps that is why when he found some....I mean finally figured out how the elves were going to make them.....he gave her NOT ONE, BUT FOUR pair......two of which light up.

Our favorite part of Christmas is when we take Bella to pick out gifts for the family. My mom always takes her to her FAVORITE store----Target and she beelines straight for the items she thinks each person will like. Daddy scored some Hershey kiss boxers.
Uncle Tom scored some Christmas Story flannel PJ's
and some Angry Bird boxers
Not pictured was Aunty Sissy receiving workout socks, me receiving a hat and gloves and Nana receiving a bright pink hello kitty shirt.  Bella sure knows how to shop.
Bella got Princess hat and gloves from Santa, too
and Cinderella's castle
Nana got her a princess hair styling set with a real working hairdryer.
Flat ironing Aunty Sissy's hair.
Onto the stocking................
Princess walkie-talkies.   These were just as fun for the adults, let me tell you.
A camcorder/camera
And from mommy and daddy..... the TAG reading system.....she looks really thrilled.
Barbie Princess and the Popstar dress up dress.
Annual trip to the neighborhood with all the lights.

This year my mom got us matching pajamas.....even Curtis and Tom.  So, they posed for some hilarious photos to show their closeness as brother-in-laws.

Just playing in the warm AZ sun

Our attempt at making a Barbie gingerbread house.  Warning to consumers:  Don't buy it...it's not worthy.
We headed south on a Griswold family roadtip to the Cowboy town of Tombstone. Here was a pre-trip pose.
Loving it!
My one request was an old time western family photo.  The photographers let us snap this one real fast.

We didn't stay too long in Tombstone because the wind was blowing so hard it was SO, SO cold.
One of Bella's new favorite things is typing on the computer or Ipad.
Making sure all of the friends had dinner, too.
My mom wanted to take Bella to this miniature museum.  As it turns out, she was less than impressed and whined the whole way through.  Needless to say, we didn't stay too long.
