I'll tell ya what, I feel like I am always trying to find things to do that are indoors. In England its because of the rain and then when we got to South Carolina it was soooooooooooo hot, we tried to think of somethings to do inside. Well, luckily for us, Columbia boasts one of the top ten Children's Museums called Edventure. I have been to a few Children's Museums and I have to admit that this one ranks up there as one of the best I have ever been to. We all had a good time and stayed cool.
When you first walk in, there is a GIANT boy. Bella was scared of him at first. You can climb up the back of him and go inside to see his insides- hear his heart beating and things...it's pretty neat. Bella wasn't too keen on that part so we climbed him and went on. But, we managed to get a picture of course.

Magent letters....not a wow factor, but Bella loved making her name and stayed for a few minutes. She loves to sound out words and spell them (with our help, of course)

There was a news studio. Bella went to the weather board and gave us the weather forecast. She did a great job for the little TV that was there.

One of the exhibits was a run, jump, climb exhibit to promote exercise. Bella lasted 2.5 sections on the rock climbing wall.

You could also try out your balance skills on the surf/waterski boards. You could put on a ski vest or hawaiian shirt. Perfect fit!

Atf irst, she didn't think she could do it!

So, daddy had to hold her hand.

Then, she was a pro!

Onto, KUNG FU...
"Just like the Panda momma!" We took her to Kung Fu Panda the day before.

Of course there was a slide and Of course the SLIDE QUEEN went down it.

Another room was designated for the small toddlers. There was a big ship. Aye-Aye Captain.

There was also a play kitchen there in the room and Bella is into cooking these days so she provided us with a snack.

The next part was MOMMA'S FAVORITE. (Bella liked it too, though) Okay, so one of the perks of having kids is that you can play with toys, some of which were your favorites when you were a kid. Well, I LOVED playing store when I was a kid. Here, they had a miniature MARKET for the kids. Yougot to enter, get a basket and shop for five items. Then, you could "checkout" at front of the store. Once you purchased your items you had to put them back on the shelves but then you could put on an apron and become the checker to checkout someone else!

Bella picked up some gravy, pears, a danish, a potato and mac and cheese. Nice variety don't cha think?

"Here you go."

Now she is the checker. The scanner worked and everything. Completely dreamy.

Here are your groceries, ma'am. Do come again.

Next to the market was the make believe farm. Bella got to pick peaches.

While daddy vegged.

She loved the real John Deer.

And planting brocolli.

This was her favorite, though, the red VW Bug. It was real and she just loved it.

Chillin in the front seat.

She even gased it up. It was only $1.59 a gallon!

Last but not least, there was a real fire engine. She was getting near her nap and getting a little cranky, but we managed to get a picture or two. She was afraid of the sirens. Overall, the day was just fabulous!
