We have a fabulous forest park close to our house. We take our third graders there for field day. The last two years, I wasn't able to go for various reasons, but this year I finally went. I couldn't believe how lovely it was and that I had never been. So, when we had a decent day of weather we took Bella there.
I wanted Bella to pose with this gorilla but she didn't want to so she stood a little bit "by" it and covered her ears so she couldn't hear me coaxing her to move closer. Yep, she's a handful sometimes. But, she managed a smile for me. Ha!
There are two ropes courses there. One for adults and a brand new one for over 4 year olds. All of the play stuff on the ground kind of "prepare" them for the course.
She wanted to take her ball on the swing. She's soooooooooo thoughtful.
You can see that she was very apprehensive about going up this tower. There was a HUGE tube slide at the top and she didn't muster up enough courage to give it a try. Maybe next time.
This was a fin "whip" swing.
All around the trails there is play equipment shaped as animals. It is an awesome place.
They also had pony rides that day.
After the ride, she ran to her daddy to tell him about how exciting the ride was.
There was a cafe there, too and Bella had a very nutritious lunch----beans and grapes.
