Happy Birthday, America!

Curtis and I have not been here for a 4th of July for as long as we can remember- if ever. (we are always in the states) So, it kind of snuck up on us. We decided last minute to take Bella to the big bash they throw here on one of the bases. It was HUGE. I couldn't believe how many people there were. There were rides, food booths, laser tag, a DJ, face painting, several fly-bys by different aircrafts throughout the day, bands, bouncy castles, and of course, fireworks. I was pretty impressed.

Anyhoo, we started at the food booths of course for some nice BBQ ribs and Jerk Chicken. After eating, we were getting ready to head towards the rides when Bella decided she wanted to play one of her favorite games these days---CHASE. She loves to do this, while giggling LOUDLY in every public place........ especially up and down the aisles at any store.

Once we finally corralled the little one, we headed to the rides (she did not want to go, of course). We saw one similar to what Bella loves so we headed right over. We plopped Ms. B into the coolest pink Barbie convertible VW Bug! But, she did not seem that impressed. In fact, as it started going she never even smiled and eventually yelled, "all done", while also doing it in sign language to make her point. The nice man stopped the ride so she could get off and then started it up again for the other kids to continue. The moral of that story is----save your money--just let your kid play chase until you keel over from exhaustion.

After that, we walked around for awhile and then headed home because Bella was ready to go. We didn't see any fireworks this year, but we have our own little firecracker everyday!

Taunting mommy and daddy with rocks---"Come and get me or I'll put them in my mouth!"

"OOOOOOh, look at that open wide field I can play chase in. Why am I in this thing?" "Maybe I can button my sweater to pass the time."

"ALL DONE!"

Thank you Lord for the birth of our Nation.
